Anyway, today's quick post is a Friday's Letters. I have a lot of fun things going on in Jauary and I want to give them some special recognition and I also need some input from you!
Dear Athleta IronGirl Do you know how excited I was to get an email opportunity yesterday from you? No, well, to give you a little hint - SUPER DUPER!!!! I'll have more to share on this fun in a separate post.
Dear little fluffy cat You are sickly cute. And you know it. When you snort while you sleep, it makes my day. However, just don't do it at night when you sleep next to my head and we'll still be cool.
Dear #plankaday I fail you. I made it 3 days in a row, then the fourth didn't happen, I do promise to do two tonight to make up for it!
Dear Skinnytaste - Gina, you make great recipes. Thanks for this one! It was delicious and super quick/easy to make. I highly recommend it to you all. Try subbing chicken in place of shrimp if you're not a seafood fan. ;)
Dear #goalgetter2013'rs it is almost time to post your monthly picture. I hope you've been keeping up with your January goal and can't wait to see what you come up with on January 31st!
p.s. - It's not too late to start participating in this challenge. All are welcome :)
Here is my link again if you're interested in reading more: I Race 4 Charity
Dear Mother nature - you continue to amaze me with your artwork daily.
And lastly - Dear Readers I am making the hour trip to Trader Joe's this weekend. I already have a pretty lengthy list of things I've had or researched around online, but I want your opinion/input too!
What are your favorite must gets from TJ's? Let me know in the comments!

I need to hit up TJ's this weekend too! A few weeks ago, I picked up a jar of crunchy cookie butter. All I'm going to say is it's dangerously delicious! ;)
ReplyDeleteyes that is definitely on my list!!!
DeleteWe might need 2 cars...
ReplyDeletehahaha! I'll bring a big cooler?
DeleteOh I'm jealous that you're going to TJs. I love it so much. Bring me back the store? And I am so crazy excited about IronGirl. They are having to redo the course because of some street closures, so they don't have the course up on the website right now. I've got my hopes up that the bridges will be limited or reduced at least. We've got some fun races planned! I can't wait to run RnR with you too!! Yay! I've been so bad about following through with #plankaday too. I even got tweeted by the plank police. I definitely didn't do it the last two days. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteOh no! The plank police!? I'm surprised I haven't been called out yet either. This is my second attmept at #plankaday LOL
DeleteI am excited for all these races too! Running with friends is way cooler than running knowing no one. <3
Have fun at TJs! I'm going to check it out when I head to NYC in March :)
ReplyDeleteFun! If you get the chance to drive down to Sarasota - do it!
DeleteI am so very sad that Trader Joe's doesn't exist in Canada. I discovered it when we were in San. Fran last year and I seriously almost lost my mind. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI lived in CA for an entire YEAR and only went in once. I didn't quite take the time to browse around or shop there. I was MISSING OUT BIG TIME and it was right under my nose.
DeleteWe don't have a T.J's where i'm from. I know .Shocker.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of Canadian blends! I'm sad you guys don't have one... hopefully soon they'll eye the market :)
DeleteI love these Friday posts!!
ReplyDeleteI want to join in on the #goalgetter2013 challenge! That sounds like GREAT motivation and inspiration.
We don't have TJ's in Oklahoma, but I always enjoy everything I get from there in my foodie penpal packages. Can't wait to hear about your purchases!
I'm excited you want to join #goalgetter2013. I know you've been doing great so far this year! FoodiePenpal is awesome for that - getting lots of new things that aren't available in our area is pretty neat. It makes me feel "cultured" :)
DeleteOh boy, Trader Joe's. I go at least twice a week! You asked, so here are my recommendations:
ReplyDelete1. Bagged kale
2. Cherry tomatoes
3. Bananas (they are 19 cents each at my local TJs!)
4. Guacamole hummus
5. Any of their cheeses
6. Turkey bacon
7. Chicken Sausage
8. Salmon burgers
9. Almond meal (if you bake with it)
10. Virgin coconut oil
11. Artichoke antipasto
12. Eggplant spread
13. Frozen fruit (berries, mango, etc, for use in smoothies)
14. Tart frozen yogurt
15. Garlic Salsa
16. Kale chips (if you can find them. My location has been sold out lately)
17. Nuts and trail mixes (all are great)
I could easily keep going but those are just a few of my favorites! ;)
awesomelist!! Thanks! definitely want to pick up almond meal
DeleteI love me some TJ's! As terrible as this sounds, I love the dark chocolate covered almonds! :)
ReplyDeleteI love those too! I ended up getting some raw almonds and have a recipe or two in store ;)

Hi Welcome!! I will definitely check them out. :)
DeleteYour cat is adorable, SkinnyTaste is amazing... and everything. Seriously just take time to wander all the aisle there is so much great stuff. My current addiction is the Herb & Spice Popcorn (sold in the chip aisle) for weekend movies on the couch.
ReplyDeleteI totally missed the popcorn. I get all crazy eyes whenever I go in there and get overwhelemed by the mass amount of things in there that I want, I bought a ton of stuff I knew I wanted, but forgot all my staples like (milk, eggs, etc) haha!
DeleteJealous! What did you buy at Mecca?
ReplyDeletehahaha! Steph, I buoght $101 worth of goodies. I will share later on in the week!
